The governor recalled that Chief Iwuanyanwu has remained in Nigeria Politics for decades without blemish, and noted that his life story has remained that of success in all ramifications.

Dr Alex Ekwueme admitted ...

Second republic Vice-President, Dr. Alex Ekwueme, has collapsed and is currently at the Intensive Care Unit of Memfys Hospital for Neurosurgery, by Penok petrol station in Trans-Ekulu, Enugu State.

The PUNCH learnt on Tuesday night that Ekwueme collapsed around 2am last Saturday, at his residence in Independence Layout, Enugu.
The development comes barely 10 days (October 10) after he celebrated his 85th birthday.
Family members close to our correspondent said that the former vice-president went into coma soon after he collapsed.
“He was trying to get something from the table when he suddenly collapsed and immediately someone raised the alarm, we proceeded to revive him while cautious enough not to attract neighbours,” a relative, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said.
He added, “When it became obvious that he had lapsed into coma, we rushed him to a hospital (unnamed) in GRA (Government Reserved Area), but we were referred to Memphys Hospital by medical consultants who had critically examined his condition.”
The source said that the family chose to keep the incident secret for a while with the hope that Ekwueme would “miraculously” come out of coma.
“When there was no sign of improvement on Monday afternoon, we rallied round and informed the former governor of Anambra State, Mr. Peter Obi, who is like a son, and he has been making plans to fly him overseas,” the source added.
Medical personnel at Memphys Hospital said that Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State broke down in tears on seeing Ekwueme at the Intensive Care Unit on Tuesday evening.
Although the governor’s visit was enshrouded in secrecy so as not to attract the prying eyes of the media and residents in the state, it was gathered that he could not hide his emotions as he wailed uncontrollably.
“My namesake, Ifeanyichukwu, do not leave us now! Even if you must go, please wait to see your daughter become the deputy governor of Anambra State before you leave us,” Ugwuanyi was reported to have wailed at the ICU.
The PUNCH recalls that the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party for the November18 poll in Anambra State, Oseloka Obaze, had presented the first daughter of Ekwueme, Lady Chidi Onyemelukwe, as his running mate.

WHY IMO DEPUTY GOVERNOR WILL BE IMPEACHED by FCC JONES

It is not often that you see politicians retain and empower their faithful to the point of even measuring up with their own status, but Governor Okorocha has done that and will continue to do that. He has raised so many men up and continues to raise more men. Prince Ezeakonobi Mmadumere, the loyal and consistent deputy governor of Imo State is one of the oldest of such men. For him, he has no other political Party, but Governor Rochas Okorocha.

He is ready to swim or drown with the man who saw him in faraway United States of America and asked him to abandon whatever what he was doing and follow him. He does not fail to tell anyone who cares to listen that he has never had cause to regret hearkening to that call. Mmadumere is untaintably loyal, and this, for the disgruntled politically displaced, is an impeachable offense.

Prince Mmadumere is one of the few men who have risen to very great heights, yet does not forget who gave him the ladder. The opposition in the State had tried many strategies to inject bad blood between him and his boss, and even his younger brother, Ugwumba Uche Nwosu, by insinuating all manners of baloney, but the Mbieri royal prince is unshaken. He knows the man whom he has served for two decades and knows what God has done for him through that man. For the desperate oppressors, Mmadumere should be impeached for staying true to himself and being conscious of his history.

Mmadumere could have made himself available to be used to penetrate the impermeable Okorocha political family, but he has continued to ward off all the smelly flies that come with nothing but doom. He knows that these flies are already dead, politically, hence looking for whom to drag along with themselves to their graves. He has been wise enough to avoid mixing himself up with a group of people condemned to perpetual political near successes - unless they retrace their steps.

Prince Mmadumere has remained loyal to the people oriented visions of His Excellency Owelle Rochas Okorocha. He has continued to present himself as a true ambassador of the Rescue Mission family, wherever he goes to. Like every true Rescue Missionary and Rochasian,  Mmadumere is not corrupt, he is humble, humane and honest. These qualities are undesirable to the dangerous group of oppressors who hate the fact that Imo has become better and will continue to get better. Yes that's why they want Mmadumere impeached and yes,

Mmadumere is UNIMPEACHABLE.
