Ugwumba Uche Nwosu has commended OCDA Boss on achievements, charges other Heads of parastatals to buckle up
The General Manager of Owerri Capital Development Authority (OCDA),Hon. Barr. Obinna Amagwula has being commended by the Chief of Staff, Imo State Government House, Ugwumba Uche Nwosu for his achievements as the OCDA boss.
The Chief of Staff, who has penchant for hardwork made this commendation during the meeting he had with all Heads of Parastatals at Sam Mbakwe Exco Chamber.
Ugwumba Uche Nwosu while addressing them among others singled out Hon. Obinna Amagwula and the entire Staff of OCDA informing that since Barr. Amagwula took over as OCDA Boss, the IGR from OCDA to the coffers of Imo State Government has risen tremendously, attributing it to hard work and dedication to duty.
According to Chief of Staff, this is commendable because it is helping the Government tackle her economic challenges.
The free Education, payment of Workers Salaries, Urban Renewal policy of the Government and other matters depend on the financial strength of the State. The monthly allocation is not enough to carry all these and that is why the business units of the Government should live up to expectation like OCDA is doing, he added.
He equally commended other parastatals while charging them to improve on their operations especially in the areas of revenue generation.
Recall that Hon. Obinna Amagwula is the immediate past Transition Committee Chairman of Oru East but was later redeployed by the Executive Governor to head the Owerri Capital Development Authority,(OCDA) a movement seen as political promotion.
Responding, the legal luminary and a seasoned administrator, Hon. Barr. Obinna Amagwula attributed the achievements recorded so far since he took over as GM, OCDA to hardworking, dedication and collective responsibility or Team work from members of his staff.
He thanked the Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha for finding him worthy for such assignment, noting that he will never disappoint him and the Government.
He called on Imolites especially land developers to always do it according to the regulations in other to avert the wrath of the law.
Advising further, Barr. Amagwula informed that the rescue mission government of Imo State is committed towards the development of the State and urbanization of the city and at such will not allow anything to alter the master plan.Those building without approval must sure be discovered and such building demolished. Please do the right thing because my staff are everywhere, he added.
